Cancellations

Please call the office 24 hours in advance to cancel appointments. Failing to do so could result in a $35.00 charge, for which you are responsible, since insurance will not cover this assessment.

Late Policy

We are committed to prompt service, and will work very hard, barring emergencies, to stay on time. We may ask you to reschedule if you arrive for your appointment more than 15 minutes after your scheduled appointment. Always arrive 10 to 15 minutes early for an appointment to complete any paperwork associated with your visit.

Referrals

You should call the office at least five (5) business days before the appointment with the specialist to give us the information needed to complete the referral. That information includes: your name, the physician you are being referred to, his phone and fax numbers, the diagnosis for the referral, your insurance, and how many appointments you anticipate needing with the specialist in this calendar year.

Lab and X-Ray Results

We will contact you within 1 week with lab results and within 2 weeks for x-ray results.  Do not assume that “no news is good news.”  If you have not heard from us within 1-2 weeks please contact our office.

If you would like a copy of your results we are happy to mail or fax them to you.  We do not use e-mail for any confidential patient information.

Prescription Refills

Please call the office at least 48 business hours in advance for all medication refill requests. Calls received after 12:30 PM on Friday will be returned after 2:00 PM on the following Monday.

Emergencies and On Call

If you have an emergency, such as chest pain, severe shortness of breath, severe headache, or bleeding, call 911 or proceed directly to the nearest emergency room. You can always call the office with any questions about acute medical problems after hours. The on call provider will not authorize routine prescription refills.  You may be charged a $35 after hours fee which is not covered by your insurance company.
